Women Empowerment through Training in the Ready-Made Garment
Economic empowerment is essential for overall empowerment of women. Economic empowerment may be in the form of job or self-employment, which requires some kind of skills and training. In this direction, Odhav Tailoring Classes for women from economically backward section of the society were stated at Jamnagar with the help of local representatives. The objective of the project was to train local women to have basic knowledge in tailoring and cutting garment. This will help them to get employed in ready made garment sector or they can start their own venture also. Project started with batch of 10 women to be trained for six months, with certificate to be provided after completion of training.
